Changes to Terminal 4 parking from 23 June

From 23 June 2026, the Terminal 4 multi-storey car park (for Terminal and Meet & Greet Parking) has closed as part of a major redevelopment programme to modernise the terminal's forecourts and car park, improving passenger experience.

All passenger parking for Terminal 4 will move to Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park & Ride car park.

The Terminal 4 multi-storey car park closed on 23 June 2026. This is part of a redevelopment project to improve the terminal's facilities.

These works include:

  • A new car park

    Built to replace the old car park, making it safer and better for the future.

    A new layout that keeps traffic moving and makes it easier to reach the terminal.

Where to park at Terminal 4

All passenger parking for Terminal 4 has moved to Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park & Ride car park.

Use Zone A if you want to:

  • Go with departing passengers into the terminal
  • Meet arriving passengers in the terminal.

Free parking

Up to two hours of free parking is available only in Zone A. 

After two hours, standard Park & Ride drive-up prices apply (£9.40 for 2 to 4 hours, £46.80 for the first 24 hours).

Shuttle buses

Free shuttle buses run every five minutes between Park & Ride Zone A and Terminal 4.

  • Transfers take as little as six minutes
  • All buses are fully accessible
  • Plenty of luggage space onboard.

If you're travelling

Terminal 4 Park & Ride is open as normal and can be booked online.

Drop-offs

Terminal 4 drop-offs will continue as normal.

A £7 charge applies for each visit to the terminal forecourt. You should not leave vehicles unattended in this area.

Pick-ups

Make quick collections right outside the terminal in the Priority Pick-Up area. The area is outside the Terminal 4 arrivals hall.

A fee applies for each visit to the pick-up area. Payments are only possible online.

From 23 June 2026, all Terminal 4 parking is being provided in Zone A of Park & Ride. This area offers:

  • A two‑hour free stay for passengers
  • A dedicated Terminal Parking‑style parking product
  • Hosted support on-site
  • Regular, reliable shuttle buses to and from Terminal 4
  • Accessible facilities, including mobility support, trolleys, and welfare areas.

Other zones of the car park continue to operate as our normal Park & Ride product.

Departures Level Drop‑off (Level 4)

  • Existing Terminal Drop Off Charge applies.

You can either:

  • Use Arrivals Level Pick‑up (Level 1) for quick, kerb-side collection
  • Or park in Park & Ride 4 (Zone A) if you wish to go inside the terminal. The first two hours are free.

No. You should not leave vehicles unattended in this area.

The Park & Ride Terminal 4 shuttle bus picks up from bus stops 5, 6 and 7, outside the terminal's arrivals hall.

Bus stops are:

  • Signposted with “Park & Ride 4 / Zone A Shuttle” branding
  • Easy to find from the main Arrivals exit
  • Our helpful colleagues will be on hand to support

Shuttle buses are running from 04:00 to 23:30 every day.

Shuttle buses run every five minutes from 04:00 to 23:30. The journey takes about 10 minutes.

Black cabs, private hire vehicles, and other taxis continue to operate at Terminal 4 as normal. This applies to both picking up arriving passengers or dropping off departing passengers.

London Underground, rail, bus, and coach services to Terminal 4 are operating as normal.

Blue Badge parking is available in Park & Ride 4 (Zone A).

The site includes:
