Changes to Terminal 4 parking from 23 June

From 23 June 2026, the Terminal 4 multi-storey car park (for Terminal and Meet & Greet Parking) has closed as part of a major redevelopment programme to modernise the terminal's forecourts and car park, improving passenger experience.

All passenger parking for Terminal 4 will move to Zone A of the Terminal 4 Park & Ride car park.

Getting to and from Heathrow by rail

Your route to Heathrow from Central London

If you’re travelling to or from Heathrow by train, you have three direct rail options to choose from.

Heathrow Express is the fastest way to get between Central London and Heathrow. Journeys between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3 take 15-minutes.

The Elizabeth line offers easy journeys between Heathrow and major London stations. Reach Bond Street, Farringdon, Liverpool Street, Paddington, Stratford and Tottenham Court Road. Journeys to Central London take under 40 minutes.

The most affordable option is the Piccadilly line on the London Underground. Journeys between all Heathrow terminals and central London take under an hour. Trains also call at King's Cross St. Pancras, Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus.

You can also get to Heathrow from London's other major stations through transfers.

From London Waterloo:

  • Northern line to Tottenham Court Road
  • Elizabeth line to Heathrow
  • This route takes around 50 minutes.

From London Victoria:

  • Circle line to London Paddington,
  • Heathrow Express to Heathrow
  • This route takes around 40 minutes.

From London Bridge Station:

  • Jubilee line to Bond Street
  • Elizabeth line train to Heathrow
  • This route takes around an hour.

From London Euston:

  • Northern line to Tottenham Court Road
  • Elizabeth line to Heathrow
  • This route takes around 55 minutes.
