One of the most famous places to discover is the West Coast, with its dazzling cities and gorgeous landscapes. Here are some of the must-see places on the West Coast that are truly unmissable.  

LA, California

Since the birth of Hollywood, LA has been filled with style and pizzazz. It has the perfect mix of modern-day bustle and laid-back atmosphere. It is a cultural hub filled with impressive museums, galleries, architecture, and soaring skyscrapers, giving it a modern-day feel.

You can’t visit LA without heading to its most famous district, Hollywood. Located in the north of the city, it is the original home of Universal Studios, Paramount and Warner Bros. You can spend your day exploring the various attractions and landmarks that honour these massive entertainment franchises. Another major highlight of visiting Hollywood is walking down the Walk of Fame and spotting your favourite celebrity’s stars.

Another incredibly famous and popular place to visit in LA is the glamorous Beverly Hills. It is just west of Hollywood, so you can easily visit both cities on the same trip and see how the neighbouring cities differ. Beverly Hills is home to many A-list celebrities and the exclusive postcode is reputable in the rest of the country. You can enjoy strolling along the upscale shops on Rodeo Drive and feeling the glamour at high-end spots like Beverly Hills Hotel.

Seattle, Washington

Seattle may be known for its all-year-round drizzly weather, but there is so much more to this city with its diverse and natural beauty. From discovering the historic music scene to tasting the freshest seafood dishes, here are some of the top things to do in this gorgeous Emerald City. 

Located in the heart of the city and referred to as “the soul of Seattle” is the famous Pike Place Market, offering a wonderful array of shops and foodie spots for visitors. It is one of the most iconic places to visit in Seattle and is guaranteed to give you a great day out as well as satisfy your tastebuds.

The Space Needle has continued to evolve over the years, and it now has titling glass walls, otherwise called Skyrisers, that create a floating effect and a revolving glass floor that provides a spinning experience for visitors. Just a stone’s throw away from the Space Needle is the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum, so they are ideal to visit on the same day. It is a unique and fascinating visual experience, showcasing the epic work of Dale Chihuly, a famous North-western glass artist.

San Francisco, California

One of the best places to visit on the West Coast is San Francisco with its edgy and trendy vibe. You can explore the city quite easily on foot or hop on and off the colourful trams if the steep roads are too much for your legs to handle.

A trip to San Fran is incomplete without moseying down to Fisherman’s Wharf, the most iconic attraction in the city. Otherwise known as Pier 39, the repurposed wooden pier is made up of impressive restaurants, street entertainers, and souvenir shops. You will find some of the best-tasting seafood in the country!

After you’re done eating and wandering around the pier, grab a boat tour to Alcatraz, an island home to the famous abandoned prison which you can explore freely. The perfect end to the day is taking a stroll on the iconic Golden Gate Bridge to watch the sunset and take some incredible shots. 

Las Vegas, Nevada  

A great place to end your West Coast adventure is the glamorous Las Vegas. The glitz and the glam of the city will capture your senses from afar and draw you in for a few days of fun and relaxation.

Located in the middle of Nevada's desert, it has warm, sunny weather all year round. The main strip is made up of novelty hotels, each themed after a different country around the globe. Most of them have an array of outdoor pools and lounging areas where you can easily soak up the sun.

At night, you can try your luck in one of the several casinos on the strip or catch an evening show exclusive to the Vegas nighttime culture. If you fancy a day of adventure outside of the strip, then you can take a road trip to Hoover Dam, the Grand Canyon, or Death Valley for some extra exploration.
